ONE-TO-ONE
BIBLICAL COUNSELLING
Sessions are led by the specifics of your particular needs. I aim to gently direct conversations to a place of hope and personal growth.
Although I work to organise what is said through a biblical understanding, we may not immediately open a Bible. This is to ensure you have felt fully heard before determining which way to go. I like to close each appointment in prayer.
APPOINTMENTÂ Â FAQS
Can I chat to you beforehand and see if biblical counselling is right for me?

When we first arrange to meet up, that first appointment is a no-obligation conversation (the 'preliminary session') where we can both get to know a bit more about one another, and you can see whether you feel comfortable. You can find out more about this preliminary session by clicking here.
How long will I need sessions for?
The first session is a no-obligation conversation. After which, we work through a block of six weekly sessions and then mutually decide whether to proceed further. Some feel ready to stop here whereas others need a bit more time. Sessions are usually kept to one hour.

Will sessions be face to face?
Throughout the pandemic, many sessions became videocalls. I am mostly meeting face-to-face again now, but videocall is still an option where suitable.

How much does it cost?
Please refer to the Fees page for current prices.

Will my Church be involved?
Yes. Where possible. I see huge value in partnering with churches. This may mean keeping a pastor or friend informed throughout, with your permission. I’ve seen this bring fantastic results for sustainable care during and after the counselling period. This is done with sensitivity, viewing appropriate confidentiality as paramount.
What else do I need to know?
We will go through policies and procedures in more detail during our initial chat, including confidentiality and data protection policies. There will be a chance for you to ask any questions important to you.
